Piste closure

Dear Leogang piste users, 

As those responsible for the organised ski area, in accordance with safety regulations, we are required to inform you about the piste closure final daily check and piste closures for the winter season 2023/2024 .  

A) Piste closure daily final check 

The final check run at the end of the each day marks the closure of piste operation for the day and therefore also marks the end of the contractual liability of the Leoganger Bergbahnen as piste keepers.

The time of piste closure and the final piste check is displayed in the access area of each lift.

B) Regulation of piste closure 

Following the provision of §3e of the Salzburg State Police Criminal Act, LGBI NR 58/1975 as amended on 18.10.2006, the Leogang local council passed a resolution on 04.12.2019, number 05/2017/2019, stating that access is forbidden to all pistes within the council boundaries from the day that snow machines start to operate and piste preparation begins before the start of the season right through to the last day of operation of the Leogang lifts at the following times: 

• Entire area of the Asitzmulde up to the top lift stations of the 10er Steinbergbahn and 8er Asitzbahn (Pistes 212, 212a, 212b, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 220a, 221, 222, 222a)  
  • from 05.00 pm to 08.00 am 

• The entire area from the top lift stations of the 10-seater Steinbergbahn and 8-seater Asitzbahn to the bottom lift station. (Pistes 200, 201, 201a, 202, 203, 204, 205, 205a, 206, 207, 211, 212) 
  • from 05.30 pm to 08.00 am 
     
• Exception: From the last Tuesday before 24.12. until Good Friday of the following year of each winter season, only on Tuesday and Friday of each week, pistes 211, 212
  • from 10.00 pm to 08.00 am 

• Entire area of the Schantei T-bar lift (Piste 214) 
  • from 05.00 pm to 09.00 am 
  • ​​​​​​​Exception: from week 51 until the end of winter on
    Mon, Thu and Sat from 05.00 pm to 07.00 pm and from 09.30 pm to 09.00 am
