The high altitude trail starts at the Asitz cable car peak station. From here you walk on a ridgeway westward to little and onward to the big Asitz mountaintop. Hike past Schönleiten Hut an Seidlalm Hut to Barnkogel and countinue via Spielbergtörl to the Spielbergalm Huts to the Unterberghaus in Schwarzleo. On the way you will find numerous rest stops for a picnic which also offer brathtaking views of the region. This ridgeway is lined by blueberry bushes and is idealplace for a meditation.
