ALM:KULTUR: Concert "Kaŝita Kanto"
Kaŝita Kanto are a German-language singer-songwriter duo that moves beyond the mainstream with their unique blend of meaningful songwriting and spherical world folk. They are releasing their third album ‘Zwischen den Welten’ in October to mark their 11th anniversary on stage.
On their tour of the same name, they are already giving a first taste of it.
Influenced by their roots in Europe and their second home in India, they process their personal experiences in songs and thus come a little closer to themselves and the world. Their music is like a journey into our possibilities, but also into our blind spots - the longing for the essential always as a compass.
At their concerts, sensitive guitar melodies blend with powerful vocals, like sweet chai and spicy masala - wonderfully warm and imbued with a feeling of expansiveness and connectedness. All of this served on the spherical sound carpet of the Indian Shruti Box.
Kaŝita Kanto - this is life-affirming melancholy with depth, in its lightest form.
