Daniel Erdmann / Vincent Courtois

Daniel Erdmann - saxophone
Vincent Courtois - cello

The German-born saxophonist Daniel Erdmann, who has been living in France for years, and his “Therapie de Couple” colleague Vincent Courtois on the cello were - after a good thirteen years of recording and performing together – were in the studio with the saxophonist Robin Fincker for a trio album called “Nothing Else” in 2022. In addition to pieces such as “London”, “New York”, “Budapest” and “Wroclaw”, there is also a joint improvisation entitled “Saalfelden”, which the two could finally perform as a duo in just the right environment this year. Or not. Guaranteed, however, is that “the freshness of the improvisations irresistibly captures the listener's imagination”, as the album description states.
