Trombonist Alois Eberl, who also plays accordion, is appearing in Saalfelden this year with the Synesthetic Octet and could be heard with his duo "Sinfonia de Carnaval” the year before last, came to music through his father in his hometown of Kitzbühel, then joined the local brass band and soon began studying jazz in Linz. Trumpeter Martin Eberle from Vorarlberg, for whom Ralph Mothwurf composed a suite last year and who of course also raised the roof in Saalfelden with his group 5K HD, has already set modern art and ancient silent films to music in a duo with another trombonist. The atmosphere of this brass-blown devotional service is bound to fit perfectly in the white-lit hermitage on the Palfen.
