TONspur concert III - Folk music evening
"Music is the shorthand of emotion." (Leo Tolstoy)
At TONspur III – Folk Music at Asitz on July 24, 2025, everything revolves around the diversity and vibrancy of Alpine folk music. Four outstanding ensembles will create an unforgettable evening filled with traditional sounds, fresh arrangements, and pure joy of playing.
Huber Vierg‘song
The four siblings from the Ahrntal Valley in South Tyrol, emerging from the family ensemble Huber, grew up with folk music and traditional songs. Their passion for singing and making music together continues to this day. Their official public debut as a vocal quartet took place at the 25th Alpine Folk Music Competition 2024 in Innsbruck.
With great dedication and high artistic standards, they perform well-known folk songs and orally transmitted melodies. Using string and plucked instruments, tailor-made arrangements, and their distinctive sound, they bring together the old and the new, the well-known and the undiscovered – but always something truly Alpine.
Ensemble:
Leah Maria – vocals, harp
Samuel Sebastian – vocals, double bass, cello
Elias Gabriel – vocals, violin, viola
Esther Maria – vocals, violin
D’Mooswiesner Tanzlmusi
In 2020, six folk musicians from Salzburg, Bavaria, and Carinthia founded D’Mooswiesner Tanzlmusi during a wine festival in Anif. The name comes from their hometowns, Leopoldskron-Moos and Bischofswiesen. Their legendary "Mooswiesner Festei", held annually in Berchtesgaden, is already well known far and wide.
Their repertoire includes not only traditional folk music and original compositions but also brass band and Oberkrainer pieces. What unites them is their love for making music in a classic dance ensemble – where the shared fun is always the main priority.
Ensemble:
Engelbert Aigner Jr. – diatonic harmonica
Thomas Eibl – valve trombone
Simon Haitzmann – flugelhorn, diatonic harmonica
Fabian Steindl – guitar, zither
Sebastian Wesenauer – tuba
Markus Wolf – flugelhorn
Saitenstraßen Musi
"Lively – young – full of spirit" – this is what defines Saitenstraßen Musi from Nußdorf am Inn, Wall near Miesbach, and Uffing am Staffelsee. The musicians have been close friends from the start, and their musical journey began in 2019. In January 2023, their quartet grew into a six-piece ensemble.
The group includes the Sinhart siblings, the Schmid brothers, and Jakob Hampel. Their repertoire features both energetic and soulful Alpine folk pieces, along with unique original compositions. Whether in churches, large concert halls, or traditional taverns – they always have a great time making music together.
Ensemble:
Hannes Schmid – diatonic harmonica
Florian Schmid – double bass
Christoph Sinhart – trombone
Julia Sinhart – clarinet
Lisa Sinhart – violin
Jakob Hampel – guitar
Daria Occhini
Since childhood, Daria Occhini, originally from Bern, has been fascinated by yodeling – a tradition as unique as its sound. She is accompanied by Susanne Farner on the Schwyzerörgeli, an instrument closely tied to Swiss folk music. Their repertoire ranges from traditional natural yodels and folk songs to contemporary compositions.
