New to the single trail family

In September 2023 the single trail family in Saalfelden Leogang growed and a brand new trail opened. Here we present you briefly for whom it is particularly well-suited.

Alte Schmiede Trail

Since mid-September 2023 a brand new trail in Saalfelden Leogang is open for a test ride until 15th of October. From 2024, the new single trail will indeed be rideable from 1st of June until 15th of October.

Pure riding pleasure on the new AlteSchmiede Trail will thrill young and old alike - provided you have ridden a single trail before.

The entrance to the new AlteSchmiede Trail is above the mountain station on the Asitz. On the Asitz Trail in the direction of Saalbach Hinterglemm, it branches off to the right after about 350m. From there, you follow a hand-built single trail that offers you wonderful views of the imposing massif of the Leoganger Steinberge every now and then, over natural forest and alpine meadow sections. Perfect for taking unique souvenir shots. Flowing turns, north shores and easy technical passages skillfully alternate. Variety and maximum riding fun are definitely guaranteed. The AlteSchmiede Trail is divided into five sections - each with its own charm.

For all advanced bikers, here's a special tip to extend the trail pleasure even further: At the end of the AlteSchmiede Trail, take the forest road towards the entrance to the lower part of the Matzalm Trail (Attention: Level of difficulty: Hard!) Have fun biking!

Hand-built & natural: The new AlteSchmiede Trail

With the AlteSchmiede Trail, Austria's largest bike region is also expanding its range in the single trail area and offers the perfect trail fun for bike-loving families who have already gained trail experience.
