After the UCI Mountainbike World Series and the “Clean the Trails Days” series in June, the next event in the series of bike events at Epic Bikepark Leogang is coming: the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang 2023. Since 2019, the exceptional format has pitched its tents here and annually attracts thousands of bike enthusiasts to one of the most famous mountain bike regions in the Alps. And the fifth edition, which will take over the stage from 15 to 17 September, promises once again to be a magnet for audiences.
The novelties of more than 50 brands are ready for testing
Under the motto "The Trends of 2024", for the first time in the Expo area, the latest novelties of the following season from more than fifty brands are available to be put through their paces. With the Epic Bikepark Leogang and the surrounding lines and trails, the perfect playground is available. This weekend all the routes of the Epic Bikepark Leogang are open, as an add-on there is a 15 percent discount on the Bikepark tickets and thus hardly a better weekend to pursue your favorite hobby in the Epic Bikepark Leogang.
With valuable tips from the pro, it goes on the lines and trails
In cooperation with various coaches and stars of the bike scene, ride outs and workshops will be offered as part of the second edition of the Bike Academy. Participants will receive valuable tips and tricks regarding riding technique, equipment and mindset to take their individual bike skills to the next level. Prominent coaches include downhill World Cup ace Brook Macdonald, shooting star Elias Schwarzler, Crankworx competitor Lukas Knopf and former Four Cross world champion Joost Wichmann. In addition, the pioneer of eMTB, Stefan Schlie, offers intensive driving technology courses. Of course, the pros are also available for signing sessions.
When the youngsters get on the saddle at the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang
The BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang also offers highlights for young bikers, such as the Scott Junior Trophy on the World Champs Pumptrack course. Kids between the ages of five and 17 can prove their skills and get a first taste of racing. In addition, the fifth stage of the VPACE Kids Cup will take place in Leogang, where 5- to 10-year-olds can have their first downhill experience under competitive conditions. Fun, action, experience and friendship are always at the forefront of the kids competitions.
Opening of the new “AlteSchmiede Trail”
As part of the BIKE Festival, the mountain bike region Saalfelden Leogang will also open its new “AlteSchmiede Trail” on 15 September. The medium-heavy single trail offers smooth turns, northshores and easy technical passages for young and old with trail experience and at the same time an impressive view of the Leoganger Steinberge. The BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang is once again a first-class event that supplies the entire BIKE scene from A to Z with an extensive program.
