ALM:CULTURE: Tradition meets modernity

In July ALM:KULTUR will start again under the motto “Tradition meets modernity”.

Every Friday from 15.07. - 09.09.2022 various art and cultural projects will take place on the surrounding alpine pastures. The best part: To participate in the events, you don't have to register (with the exception of photo and music hikes) or pay anything. Only independent walking is necessary.

Concert "MITSUMMA"

July 15, 1pm, Berggasthof Biberg
With a finely tuned mix of own titles and well-known classics, the local troupe presents a sonorous cross-section of their wide vocal-acoustic repertoire. The stimulating and understated combination of three voices and dosed instrumentation allow the eternally great themes of humanity to merge into a compact program.

"PHOTO HIKE"

July 22, 9.00 am, Asitzbahn valley station
At the ALM:KULTUR photo hike with the Saalfelden photographer Michael Geissler, the focus is on the creative eye. On the Saalachtal high path starting at the Asitz in Leogang, it is surrounded by a unique panorama to the ?rgenbauernalm to Saalfelden. Along the way there are some stops to take pictures and pick up a tip or two. In the end, we can sniff out the mobile image processing on the smartphone if desired. A shuttle takes the participants back to the starting point at the Asitzbahn valley station after the hike.

  • Camera equipment is not necessary. Even a smartphone is enough. Action cameras from our resort partner GoPro can also be tested.
  • Meeting point: Asitzbahn valley station at 9:00 am

Pre-registration is required no later than 17:00 the day before (21 July) at info salaalfelden-leogang.at or +43 6582 70660!
A lift ticket is required for the ascent with the Asitzbahn, which is not included in the event. The entrance is free for guests with the Saalfelden Leogang Card, all other participants: women without the Saalfelden Leogang Card must purchase a ticket at the valley station.

Concert "Diversity"

July 29, 1 p.m.
Music and Entertainment - Art and Style - Ideas with musical surprises.  A formation that with its name “DIELFALT” wants to do justice in several facets – and does justice.
Musical entertainment can also be artistic, imaginative and entertaining at the same time. The program includes a versatile collection of partly virtuoso sounds, romantic compositions as well as folklore and jazz in a new arrangement.

"MUSIC WALK WITH STYRIAN BLOOD & BULGARIAN SPIRITS"

August 5, 11.00 am, Parking Steinalm
Legendary virtuoso Matthias Loibner and bass clarinetist Siegmar Brecher embarked on musical adventures together for the first time in 2020 in the duo Styrian Blood. Now follows the continuation on the Steinalm, which is also an extension: together with the great and energetic Bulgarian percussionist Maria Petrova, Loibner & Brecher will enrich their program with the factor of Eastern European spirit and groove - exploiting all facets of the ensemble to best reflect the beauty of nature. Nothing stands in the way of a very special and exciting hike.

  • Meeting point: 11:00 am at the parking lot Steinalm
  • Pre-registration is required no later than 17:00 the previous day (4.8.) at info saaalfelden-leogang.at or +43 6582 70660!

"MALWORKSHOP"

August 12, 1pm, Seealm
Walking and painting - a small sketch, a quick watercolor, a personal memory of a beautiful day.
We offer a casual access to painting in nature on this day. Anyone can, no one has to. Paper, brush, water and paint - mixed with curiosity and desire to do create the picture. A little insight into the watercolour painting with Reinhard Niedermuller, painter and architect from Maishofen.

Concert "PINZGAUER HOLIDAY MUSI"

August 26, 1 p.m., Steinalm
Founded in 2001, the Pinzgauer Holiday Musi plays to this day in an almost unchanged line-up at various festivals and events. Through numerous appearances on television and radio programs, they were able to establish themselves as an integral part of the folk music landscape.
The technical diversity of the cast, as well as the possibility to fall back on three composers of the dance music, offers the chance to develop your own sound style. Highlights of the performances so far have been playing at the large singer and musician meeting at the Stanglwirt, participating in the well-known “Schwaebisch – Bavarian Musician Meeting” in Stuttgart, some radio and television appearances (“Klingendes Austerreich”, “Mei lieabste Weis”, “Frohschoppen”, “Zsammg’spuit”, “Musik im den Bergen”) as well as two CD productions.

Concert "OANS NO"

September 2, 1 p.m., Peter Wiechenthaler Hut
Oans No are full throttle musicians. Wind music with a lot of pressure behind it, a dash of tradition and a desire for a lavish evening" (Die Welt).
The band mixes a club sound and spice the energetic grooves with Bavarian prose. Stylistic boundaries? Nothing at all - the mix of ska, Balkanbeats, hip-hop, reggae and the very original lyrics is feisty and goes into the legs. The music is characterized by the diversity of Munich and colorful like life in the streets. The Munich Merkur describes: “Music that so brazenly merges cultural differences and yet remains really gruesomely bearish.

Concert "HELAGUNKIS"

9 September, 1pm, Sinnlehenalm
The Helagunkis come from the Salzkammergut and were founded at the end of 2011 by Tomcat Tompson and Zug Max. The unique sound of the Helagunki is characterized by the combination of two musical instruments from two different musical genres. Rock'n'roll from the 50s and 60s with double bass and traditional local folk music with Styrian harmonica were combined. Meanwhile, not only rock'n'roll music is covered, but also Austropop, Punk, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Schlager, Folk Music, etc.. There is hardly a musical challenge that the Helagunkis shy away from. In a very special way and with a certain pinch of charm, each song becomes something special and that ensures a good mood and a lasting impression. The name "The Helagunkis" is derived from the word "Heligonka", which is the Czech name for the Styrian harmonica.
