The renowned BIKE Festival, known for its venues in Riva del Garda (ITA) and Willingen (GER), will be setting up camp in the Saalfelden Leogang region for the first time, celebrating its premiere on Austrian soil. A glance at the timetable promises: the bike spectacle will live up to its name.
From Friday to Sunday, 80 exhibitors will present the highlights of 2018 at a large outdoor trade fair directly at the car park of the Asitz mountain railway. Many brands will also raise the curtain on the 2019 trends. The BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang Expo is therefore the best opportunity to take a close look at bikes and accessories and test the exhibited models on specially designated routes.
Guided tours for beginners and advanced riders
If you want to take a closer look at the qualities of the Saalfelden Leogang bike region, you should take a look at the weekend's touring programme. From Friday to Sunday, the Elements Outdoorsports bike school offers guided tours through the mountains of the region as well as riding technique workshops in the Bikepark Leogang. Both beginners and advanced riders will get their money's worth.
Behind the wheel of a new Volvo on a test ride
The BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang is not only a good place to be on two wheels, but also on four. From Friday to Sunday, Volvo will be offering the opportunity to test the latest models on site. The Volvo XC40, Volvo XC60, Volvo XC90 and Volvo V90 Cross Country will be available for a test drive. Registration is possible online at www.volvo-probefahrt.at/bike-festival, but also on site.
Party time not only on the bike
For all those who still have some energy left after a day at the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang, the after-show party in the Outback Bar awaits on Friday, as well as the OPEN NIGHT on the Expo area on Saturday, for which the exhibitors have once again come up with some special ideas. The Expo Area will be open until 10.30 pm with free admission: Barbecue & chill atmosphere and live music included.
Competitions for everyone
In addition to the large exhibitor area, the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang also offers the opportunity to indulge in competition with other bikers. While the Rocky Mountain Bike Marathon will dominate the competition programme on Sunday, the Scott Enduro Series and the Scott Junior Trophy talent showcase are on the calendar for Saturday. The GHOST RECON RIDE kicks off on Friday with the premiere of the GHOST RECON RIDE, where various landmarks and action points have to be mastered in the Bikepark Leogang, and the Austrian Pumptrack Series will also be pumping.
