Nordic sports have a long tradition in Saalfelden Leogang. 150 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails not only offer first-class conditions for beginners and sporty cross-country skiers, but are also popular with current and former top athletes, such as world-class biathletes Simon Eder and Julian Eberhard.
On 21 January and 18 February, Saalfelden Leogang celebrates this Nordic lifestyle and invites young and old to the "Nordic Park Experience" at Lake Ritzensee. While the adults get active in the fresh air or have a cosy get-together at the snow bar with Nordic specialities, no less exciting challenges await the youngest visitors. Those who successfully master all the game stations at the Kids Winter Games will be rewarded with the coveted snowflake medal and other great prizes at the end.
A little more cross-country skiing skill is required at the Nordic Quiz Rallye when it comes to solving tricky questions along the cross-country ski trail. On 18 February, Sport2000 Simon also invites you to a cross-country ski test and ex-biathlon pro Julian Eberhard himself reveals the best tips and tricks at the shooting range.
Culinary delights are also on offer at the "Nordic Park Experience". The Ritzenhof - Hotel & Spa am See ensures that energy reserves are quickly replenished after sport with Nordic-inspired delicacies. In the chill-out area, a DJ provides the right sound and a relaxing end to the day.
