FIS World Snow Day Saalfelden

A total of 210 children put their heart and soul into the second FIS World Snow Day at the Nordic Park in Saalfelden!

The aim of the Saalfelden Nordic Ski School was to get 210 primary school children from the surrounding communities onto cross-country skis.
Spectacular stations were set up around the Ritzensee lake with small ski jumps, wave tracks, slaloms, steep turns, can biathlon, millipedes, figure eights etc.

It was particularly nice to see how much fun the primary school children (12 different classes from 7 primary schools) had on the narrower boards. Probably the biggest challenge for the organising team was to equip all the children with skis, boots and poles.
A big thank you goes to Markus Förmer and his team from the Nordic Academy Hochfilzen.

The Nordic Ski School, the Ski Club and HSV Saalfelden would like to thank all the pupils, helpers and sponsors for their numerous and very active participation (VS Saalfelden Stadt I+II, VS Saalfelden Bahnhof, VS Maria Alm, VS Leogang, VS Viehhofen, VS Maishofen):
