High award for Saalfelden Leogang's hotel industry

The latest Falstaff Hotel Guide 2024 officially confirms that the Saalfelden Leogang region is home to some of the best wellness hotels in Austria.

With the Naturhotel Forsthofgut, the Hotel Krallerhof, the Eco Premium Resort Priesteregg, the Hotel Puradies and the Hotel Riederalm, five Leogang establishments are among the top 10 in Salzburg. A high recognition for the hotel industry and a further success for Saalfelden Leogang after being named one of the best tourism regions in the world last year.

After Saalfelden Leogang was the only region in Austria to be voted one of the top 10 best vacation destinations in the world by the renowned travel publisher “Lonely Planet” in October, the new hotel guide from Falstaff has now followed up on this. With great success for the local wellness hotels: 50 percent of the best Salzburg establishments are located in the Saalfelden Leogang region, according to the renowned hotel guide.

A special mention must be made of the Naturhotel Forsthofgut, which came second in Austria with 100 out of a possible 100 points. Operators Christoph and Christina Schmuck were also named best hoteliers of the year.
As well as the Hotel Krallerhof, which offers the best spa in Austria according to the Falstaff hotel guide. With the new ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof spa, designed by Hadi Teherani Architects, the Altenberger family of hoteliers created something grand yet purist for their guests last year.

“What we have known for a long time is now also confirmed by the new Falstaff Hotel Guide: Our local wellness establishments are characterized by the highest quality. Our hosts, who are prepared to go the extra mile with a great deal of creativity and motivation, deserve special mention. They deserve our thanks,” explains Marco Pointner, Managing Director of Saalfelden Leogang Touristik.

The “Falstaff Hotel Guide”, published for the fourth time, once again presented over a thousand hotels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol. The selected establishments were rated with a maximum of 100 Falstaff points in the subcategories of ambience, rooms, wellness, service, cuisine and location.
