Instagram stars shared their impressions of Saalfelden Leogang with the world

Nine Instagrammers from German-speaking countries were guests in Saalfelden Leogang last week and were able to immerse themselves in the world of SalzburgerLand from Thursday to Sunday.

Their pictures are going around the world these days and are stirring up a lot of publicity for the region.

For several years now, SalzburgerLand Tourismus GmbH (SLTG) has been focussing on influencer marketing, a form of advertising in which brands and companies collaborate with influential people from social networks. These "influencers" have tens of thousands of fans around the world on online platforms such as Facebook, Instagram etc. and achieve an enormous reach with their posts. As part of #MyInstaWeekends, well-known Instagrammers have therefore been invited to Salzburgerland for some time now. The aim is for them to share their impressions of the region with the world with their photos and short videos. Over the past few days, Saalfelden Leogang has been in the spotlight for the first time.

Early birds and flying foxes: Instagrammers on a sunrise tour and Flying Fox XXL

Nine Instagrammers from the outdoor, lifestyle and travel sectors, who are followed by more than half a million fans in total, made a stop in the Saalfelden Leogang region last week. The programme included some of the most beautiful places and activities on the mountain and in the valley. Among other things, the group enjoyed a sunrise hike to the Grießener Almen, mountain tours in the Steinernes Meer, an e-bike pleasure tour or bike park training, experienced a real adrenaline rush on the Flying Fox XXL and then relaxed at the Hotel Salzburger Hof Leogang after an eventful day. Instagrammer Marc Bächtold from the Black Forest, who alone has over 70,000 followers, was impressed: "They were fantastic days. We all collected a lot of content and many photos and videos were taken. Our accommodation, the Salzburger Hof in Leogang, was also perfect, especially with its location right next to the cable cars."

Online marketing is becoming increasingly important alongside traditional press work

Like the SLTG, the Saalfelden Leogang region is also convinced by the influencer marketing concept: "In the digital age, online presence is the ultimate for every company. We also try to keep our followers up to date via social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and co. In addition to traditional press work, we are increasingly focussing on influencer marketing & relations. Throughout the year, well-known bloggers and Instagrammers come to the region to discover Saalfelden Leogang and publicise the multi-faceted offer," says Selina Hörl, PR manager at Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH.
