Jochen Schweizer and Saalfelden Leogang on the same wave

The Jochen Schweizer Group and the Austrian tourist region of Saalfelden Leogang have already enjoyed a close relationship for many years. Now the business collaboration is being further expanded through a cooperation with the Jochen Schweizer Arena.

Under the motto "experience further", holidaymakers and guests benefit from the advantages of the two contrasting tourist destinations. The aim is to show customers the mutual special features and thus create a guest exchange.

With the Jochen Schweizer Arena in Taufkirchen near Munich, the adventure entrepreneur offers a tourist highlight that is attractive for both active visitors and spectators with the Schweizer's Kitchen restaurant and experiences such as body flying and indoor surfing. This is exactly what characterizes the Saalfelden Leogang tourist region: active skiing or hiking is just as popular as being a spectator at the Bike World Cup.

The focus of the cooperation between Saalfelden Leogang Touristik and the Jochen Schweizer Arena is both the on-site experience and the experience on the way to the respective destination. This takes active leisure activities in an urban and natural environment to the next level. A special focus within the cooperation is on the six Saalfelden Leogang hotels (Brandlhof, Forsthofgut, Mama Thresl, Puradies, Ritzenhof, Rupertus) and the Leogang mountain railroads.

"Saalfelden Leogang and the Jochen Schweizer Arena have something in common, which is also reflected in the partnership: The focus is on the experience. Through our joint cooperation, we want to show people the advantages of the respective destination and thus expand the possibilities for active leisure activities," says Jochen Schweizer, founder and Active Chairman of the eponymous group of companies.

From travel to gastronomy

In culinary terms, the Saalfelden Leogang region is already represented in the Jochen Schweizer Arena. For the Jochen Schweizer Arena Burger, for example, meat from the Leoganger Weideochsen is used. In the future, further integrations are planned on the menu of Schweizer's Kitchen, the main restaurant of the Jochen Schweizer Arena. In addition, there will be joint travel packages in which the hotel partners will also be integrated.

Marco Pointner, Managing Director of Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH, is enthusiastic: "This premium partnership with the Jochen Schweizer Arena in Munich will allow us to positively boost the Saalfelden Leogang brand in the long term. In addition, we are deliberately focusing our communication on Bavaria, an extremely important German federal state for us, in order to reach our target group with pinpoint accuracy. Arena guests can identify with our tourism themes such as biking, hiking, skiing and Nordic sports and taste our regional products in the local restaurants in the arena."

In addition to the tourism director, Kornel Grundner, Managing Director of Leoganger Bergbahnen, is also delighted: "Leoganger Bergbahnen and Jochen Schweizer have a long-standing partnership with the Flying Fox XXL, which is known far beyond the borders. We are delighted to be able to further expand this partnership and hope for more great projects in the future."
