Marco Pointner is the new tourism director in Saalfelden Leogang

Marco Pointner has been the new tourism director of Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH since 1 October.

Born in Pongau, he completed his specialised degree in marketing management at the University of St. Gallen. Pointner worked in marketing at Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG for eight years before taking over as Head of Marketing at Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus GmbH in 2010, where he was later also appointed as an authorised signatory. After numerous seminars and further training courses as well as management training, the 32-year-old has been completing a Master's programme at the Danube University in Krems since 2012, which he successfully completed this spring. During his twelve years in tourism, event and sports marketing, Pointner has gained valuable experience and built up a broad network.

Marco Pointner is looking forward to working in Saalfelden Leogang: "A challenging, exciting and extremely interesting task awaits me in the region.
