More than 130 runners took part in the “Mini-Skimarathon for ALL” at the Ritzensee last weekend and showed excellent performances.
Top track conditions and top organization awaited last Saturday at the Sport Grossegger District Cup in Saalfelden. The very little ones made the start: For the first time there was a strength test for all cross-country talents younger than grade one. A total of 22 runners were on the track in the dwarf class and completed 300 meters before being able to hang the medal around their necks at the finish line. The youngest starter was just two years old.
Former biathlon star Julian Eberhard also attended.
Under the eyes of Julian Eberhard, who as a prominent thumbs-up followed the races on site, it was for the classes Kinder I up to AK to do kilometers in freestyle kilometers. For them, the start and finish in Nordic Park depended on their age over distances of 2 to 10 kilometers. The winners: Children I: Carolina Egger (SC Leogang) and Elias Mullahauer (SC Leogang); Children II: Leni St?ckl (HSV Saalfelden) and Vincent Eder (SU Abtenau); Pupil I: Simone Seidl (Schiklub Maria Alm) and Maximilian Breitfuss (Schiklub Saalfelden); Pupil II: Verena Seidl (Schiklub Maria Alm) and Philipp Zehentner (Skilub Bruck); Pupil I: Anna Starzengruber (SC Leogang) and Simon Hechenberger (Schiklub Maria Alm); Pupil II: Elena Pöhl (HSV Saalfelden) and Lucas Wallner (Skilub Maishofen). The women’s class was won by Laura Schnaitl, in the men’s category David Neumayr from HSV Saalfelden won, in the general class Sarah Schroeder from the ski club Kleinarl was victorious, Gotthard Hérl from the Schiklub Saalfelden was pleased with the trophy in the general class of the men.
On February 12th, the next event highlight awaits at Nordic Park
In just a few days, the Nordic Park on the Ritzensee in Saalfelden Leogang will once again be at the centre of an event highlight: On 12 February, the “Nordic Park Experience” will bring the far north and the local lifestyle to the fore with a mixture of extensive sports, typical cuisine and suitable supporting programme.
