Opening of art trail on the Asitz 2018

Der Kunstwanderweg geht mittlerweile in die vierte Saison und präsentiert jährlich Werke heimischer Künstler. Auf 15 großformatigen Tafeln The art trail is now in its fourth season and presents works by local artists every year. This summer, watercolours by Leogang painter Werner Mayer will line the hiking trail between the mountain station and the middle station on 15 large-format panels.
On 17 June at 11.00 am, the art trail will be walked together. The path leads from the mountain station on the Asitz down towards the Stöcklalm. The artist's family will be present to explain the thoughts and background to the paintings.
 
Martina Riedlsperger, chairwoman of the Freiraum cultural association, is delighted: "For the artist and the cultural association, the hiking trail between the mountain and middle stations provides an ideal backdrop for the Leogang artist's expressive watercolours. The artist's talent for intense observation, his eye for detail and his life in connection with nature are the source from which his paintings emerge. As an autodidact, Werner Mayer paints many motifs from the Pinzgau region, but also from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Carinthia. It is his attachment to his homeland and his love of nature that make these expressive watercolours so special."
