Stefan Gimpl is a former professional snowboarder. To date, he is the only freestyle snowboarder to have won the famous Air & Style Contest three times in a row (1999, 2000 and 2001) and achieved top placings in the Big Air World Cup and the World Championships. Gimpl has devoted himself intensively to photography for 15 years. In recent years, he has taken some wonderful landscape photographs, which can be admired throughout the winter season at the Steinbergbahn in Leogang. Photos from his home in Saalfelden Leogang, as well as from numerous trips to faraway countries such as Patagonia, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and the Alps, are on display. His love of photography is reflected in his pictures. Gimpl comments: "Photographing landscapes is an ideal opportunity to experience extraordinary moods in unique places at unusual times of day."
