The Ski Alpin Card provides even more skiing fun, as the cable cars on the Schmitten in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area are also open and included in the Ski Alpin Card.
Major changes have characterised the last few months - COVID-19 is influencing our lives worldwide. Safety and the personal health of every single person are even more important than before as the most valuable asset at the centre - also in the thoughts and actions of our cable car companies. We are building on the regulations of the Austrian federal government, which provide for a range of measures to protect all guests and employees. Visitors can purchase the required FFP2 masks at a favourable price at the ticket office of the cable car companies. In addition to the FFP2 mask requirement in designated areas and in the gondola lifts and chairlifts with wind protection bonnets, the cable car cabins are regularly disinfected and filled with a limited number of people. The queuing areas are organised in such a way that groups of people standing close together can be avoided as far as possible. All cable car employees are also regularly tested.
Even off the slopes, Saalfelden Leogang has a lot to offer for winter sports enthusiasts. Whether winter hiking, tobogganing or cross-country skiing – there is something for everyone. The lake loop at the Ritzensee in the Nordic Park is already open and can be used with cross-country skis during the day and in the evening (under floodlights). The cross-country trail in Saalfelden Leogang is free to use.
The Saalfelden Leogang region offers plenty of space to enjoy nature in peace and without the hustle and bustle of crowds. Exercise in the fresh air boosts the immune system and does body and soul good.
In compliance with current regulations and additional safety measures, winter sports enthusiasts can spend successful and safe days in the region.
