At the expo the 2020 novelties can be already viewed and tested. In addition there are a lot of sportive highlights: The Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon surprises with a complete new route and for the first time, the festival will host the qualifier for the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship finals
The BIKE Festival event, well known by the popular locations Riva and Willingen, celebrated its premiere in Saalfelden Leogang in 2018. After the successful first edition it quickly became clear: there will be a repeat. The second edition of the Continental BIKE Festival will take place from 13rd-15th September and has a lot of sportive highlights and bike novelties to offer. The Bike Park also opens new trails and tracks this summer that can be tested during the BIKE Festival event.
The date mid-September is interesting, because this way, the visitors get the chance to already try out new bikes and products of 2020. Bike fans can look forward to several fair offers, lotteries, test bikes and much more. There will be 80 exhibitors and 150 brands. Also eMTB fans will come at their expense on special test tracks, where guides give tips and tricks for the correct use of the eMTB.
On a sporty level, the BIKE festival will become a top-event, as well. The region and the Bike Park offer perfect conditions for a great bike weekend. The Rocky Mountain Bike Marathon has a new track in 2019. Thanks to several new trails in the Bike Park many new options for the route managers turned out: This year the marathon consists of three following rounds in the Bike Park and nearby. With the complete new Steinberg-Line, leading from the Asitz top station down into the valley, a new highlight is part of the marathon course. The Saalfelden Leogang region is known for its best enduro conditions. Therefore the Scott Enduro Series must not be missed in 2019. Another premiere: The BIKE Festival will host the qualifier for the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship finals on the new asphalted Velosolutions Pump Track. The participants will race for one of the popular starts in the great World Cup final in Bern. Rather focusing on the fun and not competing are the Kidsrace and the Ghost Recon Ride, a scavenger hunt for everybody with fun challenges, such as paddling or sawing.
