Visitors to the "Nordic Park Experience" on Sunday, 24 February 2019 can expect a wide range of sports, culinary delights and entertainment.
Awakening the Nordic spirit: That is the aim of the "Nordic Park Experience" in Saalfelden Leogang. After two successful editions in 2017 and 2018, the event entered its third round this winter. The event series was officially opened on 10 February. In addition to the Kids Winter Games, culinary delights and a cross-country ski test, special guest Stefan Schwab was also a hit. The Rapid captain was on a short holiday at home and paid a visit to the Nordic Park Experience.
The event continues on 24 February from 12.00 noon.
On both Sundays, the series of events will cover everything from sports and entertainment to food and drink and promises to celebrate the Nordic lifestyle in every respect.
Kids Wintergames guide the next generation onto snow and ice
From 12 noon, the youngsters will once again have to prove their talent at the Kids Winter Games. Six stations are waiting to be mastered at Lake Ritzensee. The children's biathlon, curling, winter golf and more are all about having fun. Visitors can also have fun on the ice. At the ice disco, young and old alike can strap on their skates and shake a leg to the sound of the DJ.
Those who prefer a slower pace can put their feet up in the Chill-Out Lounge, which is modelled on the Danish "Hygge" lifestyle. The culinary highlights, which this year will be conjured up by the "Ritzenhof - Hotel und Spa am See", are also not to be missed. Under the motto "regional products meet Nordic dishes", guests can look forward to a barbecue and many other delicious delicacies from the north.
The Nordic Park Experience cooks "green" again
This winter, the Nordic Park Experience will once again be organised as a GREEN EVENT SALZBURG. This means that special guidelines will be observed during the organisation and implementation of the event to make it as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. Great importance is attached to avoiding waste and conserving resources. All the food and drink on offer comes from the region.
The "Nordic Park" in Saalfelden Leogang as a hotspot for the Nordic scene
As in previous years, the "Nordic Park" winter sports competence centre provides the perfect base for the "Nordic Park Experience". Launched in 2017, the centre has been bringing together Nordic sports at Ritzensee ever since. In addition to a 150-kilometre network of cross-country ski trails, circular hiking trails and a natural ice rink, the offer also includes action for young athletes. In the "Fun & Snow Park", kids can try their hand at cross-country skiing on small circuits with obstacles, hills, easy descents, jumps and bends. Those who like to do their laps after work can use the floodlit cross-country ski trail every day until 9 pm.
