The Saalfelden Leogang vacation region is a hiking paradise in a class of its own. Hikers can explore 400 kilometers of marked hiking trails in the gentle grassy mountains and rugged limestone giants of the region, depending on their fitness level and desire. From a leisurely stroll on a regenerating vitality trail to an extended power walk to a steep summit trail with boundless views of the Saalfelden and Leogang 2000m peaks.
The highlight of this year's hiking season is the Salzburg Hiking Day on 8 October 2016. In cooperation with Bergwelten magazine and Bezirksblätter Salzburg, a hiking day for "mountain experts" and those who want to become one is being organized on the Asitz.
Depending on your fitness level and condition, you can choose between four guided hikes. In addition to the hikes, there is also an attractive supporting program and a party in the highest brewery in Europe, the AsitzBräu.

Meeting point: 9.00 a.m. at the Asitzbahn valley station (Leoganger Bergbahnen, Hütten 39, 5771 Leogang)
Afterwards: guided hike or independent hike on the Asitz
14.00 - 19.00: Closing event at the AsitzBräu

There are no participation fees for the guided hikes and the closing event. Cable car rides and bus transfers are to be paid on site on the day of the event. Ascent & descent only EUR 10!
