Theaterherbst Saalfelden Leogang 2024: art, magic and humour

This year's Theaterherbst Saalfelden Leogang, organised by Theater ecce, promises unforgettable experiences with a diverse mix of drama, circus arts and acrobatics.

From September to December, audiences can look forward to a unique programme that presents both profound literature and humorous performances under the stars and in the circus tent.

The programme kicks off with ‘Obscene Fables’ by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, which can be seen from 12 September to 28 September at Museum Schloss Ritzen. The performance, a mixture of popular comedy and satire, uses obscenity as a tool against power and combines shamelessness with poetry.
From 18 to 30 October, the inclusive family play ‘Mio, mein Mio’ by Astrid Lindgren invites you to the circus tent in Leogang. This magical adventure story comes to life with drama, acrobatics and live music. There are also morning performances specially aimed at school classes.
On 24 October, Pamina Milewska, Malin Brandl and Anna Adensamer's ‘Nouveau Cirque’ will amaze and amuse the audience in the circus tent with clowning and aerial acrobatics.
The comedy ‘Paradise’ by Emmanuel Robert-Espalieu, a humorous encounter between a young man and an elderly lady in a discotheque, will also be shown once only in the theatre tent on 31 October.
The festival will conclude with three school performances of ‘Mio, mein Mio’ on 10, 11 and 12 December at the Kunsthaus Nexus in Saalfelden.
