Due to the coronavirus, the 2020 Tourism Award ceremony has been postponed until this year. The Wirtschaftshof Saalfelden was pleased with the award.
Hardly any other institution in the city covers such a diverse range of tasks as the Wirtschaftshof. Regardless of whether it is in the implementation of various events, the creation and maintenance of the local infrastructure or the design of the location – the employees are at work day after day in order to create needs-based and livable conditions in Saalfelden.
On 16 November, the Wirtschaftshof’s commitment to the Congress Saalfelden was honoured with the Tourism Award 2020 by Saalfelden Leogang Tourismik GmbH: “Our events, which strengthen our international reputation as a sports and cultural region, would not be possible without the commitment and support of the Wirtschaftshof team. Therefore, we would like to take the Tourism Award as an occasion to thank us for the great work”, explains Marco Pointner, Managing Director of Saalfelden Leogang Tourismik.
Award for stage designers, ice masters and landscape designers
Last year, the employees of the Wirtschaftshof Saalfelden were in action at the Jazzfestival Saalfelden and ensured the optimal setup - from the construction of the various stages and the imposing canopy in the city park, to the signage or visitor diversion on site and the construction of the necessary barriers. All waste disposal at the venues and water supply were also taken over.
At Nordic Park, the employees were responsible for the design and maintenance of the sports center, among other things, they made a snow bar especially for the event “Nordic Park Experience”.
Apart from various events, they took care of the maintenance and maintenance of the sports infrastructure in Saalfelden, the preparation of the ice rink at the Ritzensee, the tracking of the cross-country ski trails and the maintenance and signage of the bike routes and hiking trails in Saalfelden. Last but not least, the green town of Saalfelden is also thanks to the employees of the Wirtschaftshof. They created insect-friendly flower meadows and designed the beds in the urban area to suit the season.
