An unforgettable experience on the surrounding Alpine pastures

Last Friday, the time had finally come: the starting signal for the ALM:KULTUR 2024 was given at the traditional Örgenbauernalm. The weather wasn't at its best, but the anticipation for a special cultural and natural experience was immense. Selina and I set off on foot to the Örgenbauernalm. Our friends Maurice and Patrick rode up on their e-bikes, and together we spent an unforgettable day with great music and culinary delights. But more on that later. 😊

The way to the Alpine pasture: On foot and by E-Bike

Selina and I opted for a relaxed journey with public transport. The bus took us directly to the starting point of the hike. With light luggage and full of anticipation, we started the ascent to the Örgenbauernalm. Along the way, we enjoyed the fresh mountain air and were delighted to find a few chanterelle mushrooms.

At the same time, Maurice and Patrick set off with their e-bikes. They were lucky, as the weather was still dry in the morning. The fog gradually climbed up the mountain, creating a mystical atmosphere, making the tour a special experience.

Musical sounds in the mountains

When we arrived at the Örgenbauernalm, a musical highlight was waiting for us. On the alp hut, the Mundharmonika Quartett Austria created a lively atmosphere. With their joy of playing and many well-known songs, the musicians captivated the audience. The visitors sang and clapped along, and some even dared to dance. The combination of harmonica music and the extraordinary location on the alp hut created a unique atmosphere that enchanted everyone present.

Regional alpine cuisine: Pure enjoyment

Of course, culinary delights were not to be missed. The Örgenbauernalm offered a variety of regional delicacies. Selina and I enjoyed the traditional Bauernkrapfen. Maurice and Patrick opted for a hearty Brettljause. The regional alpine cuisine was not only a treat for the palate but also reflected the tradition and hospitality of the surrounding alpine pastures.

The mix of active movement, cultural enjoyment, and regional specialties made this day something truly special.
