Tobogganing in Saalfelden Leogang
If you are looking for experiences away from the slopes during your winter vacation, the toboggan runs in Saalfelden Leogang are the perfect place for you. Whether by day or by night, in our region tobogganing fun is guaranteed for everyone, and the best part is that every tobogganing adventure can be combined with cozy stops in traditional huts.
Tobogganing by day and night at the Asitz
At the Asitz in Leogang you can sled daily from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. The top can be reached comfortably with the Asitzbahn or you can walk to the Forsthofalm and then take the Almbahn 4-seater to the middle station. The starting point for your tobogganing experience is the Stöcklalm at the Asitzbahn middle station. From there it's a fast ride on two runners down to the Forsthofalm.
Every Tuesday and Friday you have the possibility to enjoy tobogganing under a starry sky from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The best way is to first let yourself be spoiled by the hut hosts with culinary specialties like the Pinzgauer "Bladln" and then set off from the Stöcklalm into the tobogganing adventure. The toboggan run passes the Forsthofalm and ends at the bottom station of the Asitzbahn. Look forward to an unforgettable tobogganing experience.
Natural winter tobogganig at the Biberg
The 6 km long, floodlit toboggan run on the Biberg mountain in Saalfelden is definitely one of the most beautiful toboggan runs in entire Salzburg. Starting from the Bockareit Stub'n, a shuttle service from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. eases the ascent to the Berggasthof Huggenberg. From there, it's another 50-minute walk to Berggasthof Biberg. Arrived at 1,400 meters above sea level, a unique mountain panorama awaits you.
Tip: A culinary highlight is the legendary "Bibergreindl" with ribs, roast pork, sauerkraut and dumplings. After a delicious refreshment, nothing stands in the way of the tobogganing fun.
Toboggan run at the Sinnlehenalm
Many of you may already be familiar with the Sinnlehenalm from summer. For the first time this year, you can also enjoy various specialties in winter at the traditional alpine hut. The Sinnlehenalm is easy to reach and is therefore particularly suitable for families and beginners. After a short hike between 30 - 45 minutes you will be rewarded with an impressive panorama and can peacefully enjoy local dishes such as Kasnock'n or a delicious Almjause. Afterwards you can get down the mountain either via the newly created toboggan run or on the winter hiking trail which is already used for the ascent.
