Regionality and sustainability are two key topics that have gained increasing importance in recent years. Saalfelden Leogang is also consciously focusing on regional value creation and resource-saving measures – with success: The region is now considered one of the most sustainable in SalzburgerLand. A significant milestone was achieved last year: Saalfelden Leogang is one of the first regions in Austria to have been awarded the Austrian Eco-Label for Destinations. This independent quality seal evaluates a wide range of sustainable measures in the three areas of economy, ecology, and social issues.
Anniversary Edition: 10 Years of the Regionality Fair Saalfelden
Under the motto "Bringing Regional Products to the Forefront," the Regionality Fair Saalfelden will take place for the 10th time on April 27, 2025. The event, organized by Saalfelden Leogang Touristik and Congress Saalfelden, aims to strengthen the connection between local producers and guests or locals. "With the Regionality Fair, we not only want to showcase the diversity and quality of local products but also raise awareness of regional value creation and sustainability. It's about bringing producers, locals, and guests together and making the stories behind the products come to life," explains Marco Schöppl, Event and Marketing Manager of Saalfelden Leogang Touristik.
A Fun Day for the Whole Family
On April 27, 2025, everything at Congress Saalfelden will revolve around regionality. In addition to numerous well-known and appreciated exhibitors, a varied supporting program will ensure great entertainment. For example, "KeramikWerkstatt Michael Weißensteiner" will create handmade pottery, and the "Pinzga Kas Mobil" will treat visitors to fresh raclette bread. The Salzburg Seminar Farmers invite you to an exciting cooking show, the Climate Alliance Austria will have an interactive booth on the valuable resource of soil, and all of this will be accompanied by live music from "D’Zrupftn."
In line with sustainability, the Regionality Fair Saalfelden will be organized as a GREEN EVENT SALZBURG. This means the event will be particularly environmentally friendly – from regional food and drinks to waste avoidance.
