5th Saalfelden Regionality Fair

Regional products in front of the curtain on 24 June 2018 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When you know where your food comes from, it tastes twice as good. More and more restaurateurs and hoteliers are including regional products on their menus. In order to further strengthen the cooperation between farmers and tourism professionals, Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH launched the "Tourism and Agriculture" lighthouse project as part of the brand development process in 2011. Now, on 24 June 2018, the regionality fair will take place for the fifth time under the title "Regional products in front of the curtain" at Congress Saalfelden.

In Saalfelden Leogang, great importance is still attached to quality farm products. At the regionality fair, regional producers take the opportunity to present their products. Specialities such as bacon, bread, milk, eggs or schnapps straight from the farms - food couldn't be more natural. Unique regional craftsmanship and great presentations round off this day in the spirit of regionality perfectly!

 

A special highlight will be the lecture at 2.00 p.m. "Using herbs and household remedies in a self-determined way" by Dr Barbara Vockner, General Practitioner, and Dr Karin Buchart, Nutritional Sciences, TEH. Karin Buchart, Nutritional Sciences, TEH.

 

The programme at a glance:

  • 11.00 a.m.: Opening speech by Mayor Rohrmoser
  • Wide selection of local products: Schnapps, liqueurs, tinctures, handicrafts and decorative items, natural cosmetics made from herbs, cheese, bacon and sausage products, wild herbs and much more.
  • Musical supporting programme by the "Blatzer Buam"
  • Exhibition of vintage tractors and motorbikes in front of the Congress by the 1st Pinzgau Vintage Car Club
  • Trade fair restaurant catered by Herzog Catering
