8th Regionality Fair Saalfelden
"Regional products before the curtain" - under this motto, the 8th Regionality Fair will take place at Congress Saalfelden on 16 April. Between 10:00 a. m. and 5:00 p. m. , the regional trade fair offers visitors the opportunity to browse local delicacies and products in the Congress Hall. Liqueurs, schnapps and various cheeses, bacon and sausages can be tasted during this time and bought directly from the producers. In addition, crafts and decorative goods made of stone or wood, self-sewn garments, organic natural furniture and natural cosmetics are offered by the more than 30 exhibitors.
At 14:00, visitors can expect an exciting lecture by Sepp Eisl, organic farmer and founder of Eisl Eisl, on “Economics for future generations – to leave an intact environment”. In the lecture, Eisl takes the audience on a journey to his organic farm Seegut Eisl on Lake Wolfgang and to his sustainable visions for the future. In addition, sustainable economic methods in agriculture are discussed in order to master biological challenges responsibly.
A day full of regionalism
Regionality and sustainability – two buzzwords that have become increasingly important in society. Saalfelden Leogang also attaches great importance to regional marketing and resource-saving measures and has developed into one of the most sustainable regions in the SalzburgerLand with many new projects. The close interweaving of tourism and agriculture through the mutual give-and-take of tourism and agriculture is central to intensify the idea of regionality. Therefore, the regional trade fair also aims to strengthen the bond between local producers and guests or locals. The fair makes visitors aware of the diversity of regional products on offer and shows how and where products can be purchased at short notice and directly from manufacturers.
In the spirit of this sustainability concept, the Regionality Fair will be held as GREEN EVENT SALZBURG. This means that we, as organisers, adhere to special requirements in order to organise the event as sustainable and resource-saving as possible – for the sake of the precious environment.
