1617

The 1617 restaurant, awarded 13.5 points, boasts a 400-year history. Despite being part of the vibrant five-star Forsthofgut hotel, the charming farmhouse parlor offers a tranquil atmosphere. 1617 is known for its “table-side service,” where dishes like beef tartare, fondue (sweet or savory), and crêpe Suzette are prepared directly at the table—a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

Mizumi

A major milestone for the Forsthofgut: In addition to echt. gut essen., the Japanese lakeside restaurant Mizumi has received one toque, while the traditional 1617 has been awarded two toques, both recognized in the Gault&Millau rankings. Described by Gault&Millau as offering “a journey to Asia,” the Mizumi menu, popular among hotel guests, features dishes ranging from nigiri to ramen in an urban style. A mix of acidity, sweetness, and spice creates the sought-after umami experience. The sake pairing, rare in Austria, is another highlight. Arigato gozaimasu!
