A perfect day for mountain and nature lovers

 

  1. Park at the base station of the Steinberg lift where free parking is available. 
     
  2. Your first highlight of the day is a scenic ride on the gondola lift, with fantastic mountain views from the Leoganger Steinberge to the Steinernes Meer in Saalfelden. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see as far as the Hochkönig mountain in Maria Alm.
     
  3. Your first moderate walk (approx. 45 min) takes you directly to the summit cross of the Großer Asitz at 1,914 m and a mountain lake.
     
  4. You’ll walk past the TONspur Islands on your way back.
     
  5. After a refreshment break at the hut, enjoy FOREST BATHING - Shrinrin Yoku on the Asitz.
     
  6. On the hiking trail "Shinrin yoku - Forest bathing at the Asitz" you have two options: Part 1 to the Steinbergbahn mid station, or part 2 to the base station of the Steinberg lift.

 

Get your ticket now

Float up the mountain on the Steinberg lift and enjoy a walk towards the summit cross of the Großer Asitz at 1,914 m. On your way, listen to atmospheric music at the TONspur Islands. Stroll back at a leisurely pace. Recharge yourself in the AsitzBräu or in the Alte Schmiede and join the new hiking trail at the Steinbergbahn "Waldbaden am Asitz" (Forest Bathing), which starts at the Asitz top station near the Asitz practice lift. The Forest Bathing on the Asitz trail ends at the bottom station of the Steinbergbahn. Perhaps you’ll continue to the KrallerAlm for your dessert?
