For me, water is truly a life elixir. I’m always delighted when there’s a chance to splash around, and when precious water takes center stage in a vacation region, as it rightly deserves. In your Sinne-Park, we all had a wonderful time - humans and dogs alike. The perfect combination of nature & sport, art & culture - simply marvelous! We also became more attuned to the signs of the climate crisis while in Saalfelden Leogang, and we are grateful to everyone working so hard to preserve the environment for us. Thank you for the eye-opening experiences and revitalizing moments with you!

I knew that a lot happens in the mountains in the Saalfelden Leogang region and that there are amazing hikes here. But what fascinated me most during my visit to Leogang was that there is also a lot happening inside the mountains. Aside from the landscape and hikes at Asitz, Sinnlehenalm, and the climate walk, my highlight was the Leogang Mining Museum. Especially (but not only) on rainy days, the mine is a fantastic excursion. The guided tour is very informative and offers a fascinating glimpse into the tough life of the miners.

Climate walks, the Mountain of Senses, and the E-Bike Gourmet Tour - Saalfelden Leogang is one of the greenest regions in Austria and was recently awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for Destinations, a recognition it fully deserves, in my opinion. Together with my family, my father, and my young son, I stayed at the eco-certified Hotel Der Löwe (which is certified with both the Austrian and European Ecolabels) and enjoyed a wonderful time there.

Additionally, sustainable trail building, green events, and the promotion of regional products and value chains are just a few of the many initiatives supporting the region’s transformation into a sustainably oriented destination in the Alps.
